Representative Offices and Affiliates

Galenika a.d, as a successful manufacturing and trading company, soon upon its foundation has oriented towards placing its products to numerous international markets. Apart from headquarters in Belgrade, representative offices in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Romania, Iraq and Russia, including two separate legal entities, Galenika d.o.o. Montenegro and Galenika d.o.o. Banjaluka, all participate in exports of Galenika a.d. They all work on placing company’s products from human medicines, dental products and parapharmaceuticals portfolios to markets of Europe, Asia and Africa. 

Countries derived from former Yugoslavia, primarily Republic of Srpska, Macedonia, and Montenegro, are the leading export markets for the past several years. Out of the regional countries, we export to Romania, Croatia and Slovenia, the first country of the region to become an EU member. Former Soviet Union countries are the second relevant group of export countries, and Russia, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Moldova and Georgia are most important among them. The third group is made of countries from Asia and Africa, out of which we especially emphasize significant export results in Libya, Yemen, Nigeria, Azerbaijan, Mongolia and Congo.  

At the moment, main export activities of Galenika a.d. are focused on regaining lost positions in the Russian Federation market, entering the markets of Maghreb countries and Middle East countries, Turkmenistan, Kirgizia and Tajikistan, where registration procedures for selected products are ongoing. 

Export activities are focused on entering new markets and introducing new programs and products. There is a potential to increase export, particularly with dental products, dietary supplements, common use products and medical devices, which has arisen with recently successfully completed certification audit for business compliance with international ISO 9001:2008, ISO 13485:2003 (CE mark)  and HACCP systems. 

Upon completion of new investment projects, primarily the new drug plant, Galenika a.d. plans to export to more demanding markets of European Union and North America, which will open possibilities for multiple increases of export results and further promotion of products of Galenika a.d. in numerous new markets.
